  11. The program  »StarAm Plan« version 2.2b needs to start at least:
  12. Amiga with AmigaOS 3.0 (version 39), 1MB FREE RAM, 1 floppy drive
  13.  
  14. I  don't  believe, that you can really work with  this  configuration.  So  I
  15. recommend:
  16. Amiga  with 68020 CPU, 68881 FPU, 2MB FAST RAM, 3MB free space  on  harddisk,
  17. AA-Chipset or graphics accelerator, AmigaOS 3.0
  18.  
  19. »StarAm  Plan« has been developed on an Amiga 4000/040  with  Cybervision  64
  20. and AmigaOS 3.0.

  29. 1. The program and all files belonged to it may freely duplicated.
  30. 2. Neither   the  program  nor  the  manual,  the  files   »StarAm Plan.dvi«,
  31.    »StarAm_Plan.cd« or »Copyright.info« may be changed,  translated or  adapt
  32.    to other hardware. Other files may changed for your own private use.
  33. 3. Translating of the files »StarAm_PlanGB.ct« and 
  34.    »Catalogs/English/StarAm_Plan.catalog«  and  spreading of  the  translated
  35.    files are desired as long as the translated files are placed in the public
  36.    domain and I get a copy.
  37. 4. Distributing  the program is allowed as long as all files belonged  to  it
  38.    are  unchanged in one directory together and the distribution is  free  of
  39.    charge. You may archieve the files with an archiever like »lha« or  »zoo«,
  40.    but all files must be in the same archieve!
  41. 5. Item  4. is void, if a Disk of a PD series is distributed, I released  the
  42.    program on this series and the disk is unchanged.
  43. 6. Saling,  distributing  or letting of this  program is  illegal  without  a
  44.    specific permission by me, when it is not allowed by this license (item 4+
  45.    5).
  46.    To  place  this program on another series or a »special disk«  without  my
  47.    written and signed permission is herewith explicit forbidden!
  48. 7. The  manual  and the file »StarAm Plan.dvi« may only be  distributed  like
  49.    permitted by item 4 and 5. The manual or parts of the manual and the  file
  50.    »StarAm Plan.dvi« mustn't be distributed or sold seperate or printed.
  51. 8. When  you  use  this program you must pay DM 30 (german marks) or  US$  30
  52.    (sorry!) to me.
  53. 9. The  program  is presented to the users as it is, without any warranty  of
  54.    any kind, be it expressed or implicit. Anyone using this program agrees to
  55.    incur  the risk of using it for himself. In no way can the author be  made
  56.    responsible  for  any damage directly or indirectly caused by the  use  or
  57.    misuse of the program.
  58. 10.Someone  who contravene this license has no of the in this  license  given
  59.    rights.

  61. SUPPORT
  62. 1. Everybody  who has paid the share will be registered as  user.  Registered
  63.    users who fulfill the conditions described at the 2nd item gets up to  two
  64.    free »small« updates automatically.
  65.    A user who has got two updates must send me a sufficient stamped  envelope
  66.    for each additional update (or the money, when you don't have stamps  from
  67.    the Deutsche Post AG!).
  68.    »Small« updates, are updates, without increased share. With »big«  updates
  69.    the share is increased.
  70.    A  registered  user who fulfill the conditions described at the  2nd  item
  71.    will  be  informed  about the new version, as long as he  hasn't  got  two
  72.    updates.  He'll get the update after I've got the difference  between  the
  73.    new and old share.
  74.    After  two updates the user must send me a sufficient stamped  envelope or
  75.    postcard  for each informing about a new »big« update  (or the money, when
  76.    you don't have stamps from the Deutsche Post AG!).
  77.    Bug  removing  updates  to identify by the character  behind  the  version
  78.    number are only sent if you explicit request them or in the case of item 4.
  79. 2. Only registered user who lives in Germany or another country for which the
  80.    Deutsche  Post AG wants to have the same postage as for letters which  are
  81.    sent  within  Germany gets update delivery and  informations  about  »big«
  82.    updates.
  83.    If  this  conditions  aren't fulfilled, the user must  send  me  sufficent
  84.    postage (in DM (german marks) or stamps of the Deutsche Post AG) for  each
  85.    update or information about a »big« update.
  86. 3. I'm very interested in suggestions. They should be so detailed as possible
  87.    because I want to understand correct what you want. I'll try to take  into
  88.    account your wishes.
  89. 4. I'm  very interested in bug reports, too. They should describe the way  to
  90.    produce the error exactly, so that I'm be able to reproduce it.
  91.    If you are registered user, fulfill the conditions described under 2.  and
  92.    I  could  remove the bug because of your bug report then  you'll  get  the
  93.    version without the bug free of charge.

  95. To register you can use the file »Register« (print out, fill out and send  to
  96. me  with  DM 30). You haven't to use this form because I like  also  formless
  97. registrations.  If you don't want the GERMAN update disks then you MUST  tell
  98. me at least one available language which you prefer. You also should tell  me
  99. your own language if I get a catalog file of your language!
  100. I  accept  suggestions and bug reports from not registered users.  But  don't
  101. expect anything by me!

  103. This is the fourth localized version of »StarAm Plan«.At the moment there are
  104. the  languages  german  (build in language) and english  (catalog  file)  and
  105. italian (catalog file) available.
  106. If your language is not available und you don't want that »StarAm Plan«  uses
  107. german  you must select the (available) language »StarAm Plan« shall  use  in
  108. the preferences editor »Locale« of the workbench after your own language.
  109. Example:  Your  language is french and you want that »StarAm Plan«  uses  the
  110. english  catalog. In the listview »preferred languages« you must  have  first
  111. »Français«  and  second »English«. All programs with a  french  catalog  then
  112. will use french, all other english.
  113. If you haven't selected a »preferred language« then the build in language  is
  114. used. If you always want english then you MUST select english in the »Locale«
  115. preferences  editor!  There is NO RULE that english is always  the  build  in
  116. language!
  117. If  you want to translate »StarAm_Plan.catalog« into another  language,  feel
  118. free to do so, as long as you place your translated »StarAm_Plan.catalog«  in
  119. the  »Public Domain«  and send a copy to me. You can  use  »StarAm_PlanGB.ct«
  120. when you  don't understand the original german texts in »StarAm_Plan.cd«.
  121. Don't  ignore the maximum lengths in »StarAm_Plan.cd«! Notice the  spaces  at
  122. the end of lines (Disable an option in your editor which kills spaces at  the
  123. end of lines!)!
  124. I know that my english translation is bad. So if you find any funny or simple
  125. wrong  translations in »StarAm_PlanGB.ct« respectively  »StarAm_Plan.catalog«
  126. please correct them and send the corrected file to me. Thank you.

  128. »StarAm  Plan« uses also the locale.library for the command  »Edit/Sort«  and
  129. the  output  of Dates (Worksheet/Print, cell format). The date  formating  of
  130. »StarAm  Plan« is more complex than the »locale.library« allows.  So  »StarAm
  131. Plan« must interpret the two date strings of the locale.library. It could  be
  132. that this interpretation don't give the correct result.»StarAm Plan« uses the
  133. short  string if you select month as number else it uses the long string.  If
  134. both strings are the same, the short string contains the name (or name abbr.)
  135. or the long string contains the number of the month the algorithm won't work.
  136. The  strings  mustn't contain the commands »%D«, »%r«, »%R«, »%T«,  »%x«  and
  137. »%X«,  too. Relpace them by »%m/%d/%y«, »%I:%M:%S %p«,  »%H:%M«,  »%H:%M:%S«,
  138. »%m/%d/%y«, »%H:%M:%S«. You'll find the strings in
  139. »LOCALE:countrys/yourCountry.country«.
  140. When you use dates before 01-Jan-78, »StarAm Plan« must use its own algorithm
  141. because  locale.library doesn't handle these dates. You get then german  date
  142. format!
  143.  
  144. At the moment there is only a short manual in english, the real manual is  in
  145. german  only.  It is very much work to translate the manual, so if  only  few
  146. register I won't translate the manual. It depends on you!
  147. If YOU want to translate the manual into english or another european language
  148. here are my conditions:
  149. - You  mustn't translate the manual without my written and signed  permission
  150.   (email is not enough, because it is unsafe!).
  151. - The translated manual is Copyright © by Thorsten Passow (me)
  152. - I am the only one you give a copy of the translated manual to
  153. - You may insert a short text into the manual like:
  154.   Translated into english by ...
  155. - If  I  get the translated manual until a date arranged before,  you  become
  156.   registered user without paying the share.

  158. Until  now,  only  one  non  german user has  registered.  Don't  expect  any
  159. improvements  of the  localisation  or a  translated  manual,  if  you  don't
  160. register!

  162. You  will find additional information about »StarAm Plan«  in  »Bitte Lesen«,
  163. »Convert.dok«,  »StarAm Plan.guide«  (all  german  only) and   »Quick Manual«

  166. Known bugs:
  167.  
  168. - When »Refresh« in the Requester to set the worksheet screen is not  checked
  169.   then  the  contents of the worksheet window will be  damaged  when  another
  170.   window  is  partly  in front of the window and  you  scroll  the  worksheet
  171.   (SimpleRefresh+ClipBlit  problem).  I won't remove this  bug,  because  the
  172.   scrolling  would slow down. If there is ever the need to scroll  the  sheet
  173.   while  another window is in front then you must use »Ctrl-r«. If  you  have
  174.   enough memory I recommend to check »Refresh«.
  175. - undo of »Edit/Transpose« and correcting cell references due to
  176.   "Edit/Transpose" do not work in all cases
  177.  
  178. Hint for users of CyberGraphX:
  179. Incompatibilities  of CyberGraphX V2, which I found on my system  in  context
  180. with  »StarAm Plan«,  do NO LONGER occur on my system, if  CyberGraphX V3  is
  181. installed. So I recommend to update to CyberGraphX V3!

  188.  - icon bar to set cell formats
